Fabric Flowers

I have developed a new addiction – fabric flowers! They are fabulous!! So much fun to create and then there are so many things you can do with them – sew them to a bag or top to upcycle, glue to a headband for a fab fashion look or glue on a broach pin and gift them to lucky friends. My daughter has been watching with interest – offering colour combo suggestions and critiquing the finished products. I think they are my new favourite craft..

End of School year

It’s almost the end of term – hurray! No more peeling reluctant children out of bed and hustling them around trying to get everyone out the door and into the car on time. Most people like to get the teacher a little gift at the end of the year to thank them for taking such good care of their children during the past year – why not have a go at making something? There is only so much smellies and candles a teacher can use! I bought a selection of wooden shapes from CraftShapes in the UK and I am very impressed with the quality and service and I’m looking forward to having a go at personalizing them. Results to follow….
